RAILWAY CONFERENCE PARDUBICE

In April, DAKO-CZ became a partner of the ninth annual professional meeting of representatives from the railway industry. The discussion focused on the issues of automatic coupling and its deployment on freight wagons. Attention was also paid to the section on light rail vehicles (LRVs) for regional lines in the 21st century, ETCS and railway infrastructure financing.

DAKO BRAKE SYSTEM FOR THE HODLMAYR SPECIAL WAGON (Laados)

The special wagon for transporting trucks across Europe is equipped with a unique DAKO brake system featuring newly developed DAKO disc brake units designed for low clearance profiles.

CZECH SUPERBRANDS

In September, representatives of the company received the award for the Czech Superbrands 2023. We appreciate this award and thank all our colleagues, without whom we would not have been in the TOP 100 brands. In the B2B sector, only 18 companies received the brand award and we are all the more proud to have won the title, which is a sign of special status and brand recognition, not only on the local market.

DEFENSE OF THE IRIS BRONZE MEDAL

In October, the company defended the surveillance audit in compliance with ISO/TS 22163:2017, v.3, and ISO 9001:2015 under the supervision of TÜV Nord. The awarded bronze medal was successfully defended, and the repeated certification according to the railway standard IRIS, in conjunction with ISO/TS 22163:2017, demonstrated the required level of qualification as a manufacturer of brake systems and components for the railway industry.

ASSOCIATION OF SLOVAK TRANSPORT OPERATORS AND ROLLING STOCK OWNERS AT DAKO-CZ

On Friday, November 27, 2023, the Association of Slovak Transport Operators and Rolling Stock Owners visited DAKO-CZ. The group, consisting of nearly fifty participants, was led by the association’s president,
Ms. Katarina Magdechova. The primary goal of this important visit was to introduce the participants with our company, its production facilities, and technologies.

GREEN SOLUTION PRESENTATION IN THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT

A meeting and debate between representatives of the Association of Czech Railway Industry (ACRI) and representatives of the European Parliament took place on 8 November in the European Parliament. Its main purpose was to discuss the current challenges and problems of the sector, sustainability and green solutions offered by Czech companies in the field of railway transport. DAKO-CZ has a great advantage in this area. It is the first to have proven references in the implementation of electromechanical brake systems in tram bogies, in Poznan, Dauvgavpils or Woltersdorf.
