KEY PROJECTS 2024
Join us in reflecting on the key projects of 2024, which we will be working on and delivering in 2025 and 2026. For better clarity, we have categorized these projects by platform. This platform-based segmentation is our new initiative.
Throughout 2024, we divided the company’s product portfolio into several platforms, each distinctly tied to specific areas of application. We then began incorporating this categorization into our communication and visuals.
To enhance clarity, we differentiate three primary colors:
– green for electromechanical solutions,
– black for hydraulic solutions
– blue for pneumatic solutions
So far, our electromechanical (green) solutions have primarily been utilized in trams, but we are striving to go further in the field of electromechanics by implementing the “Brake By Wire” system in other platforms, including xMU (multiple units) and metros. The company’s goal for the coming period is clear: to expand the motto “WE BRAKE GREEN” to additional platforms.

ŠKODA TRANSPORTATION – TRENITALIA PROJECT
The contract for the supply of brake systems for a total of seventy sleeping railway coaches, with an option for an additional 300 units, was successfully secured at the beginning of 2024. This project will be implemented in Italy, specifically with the sleeping cars operating on the route connecting Milan with the Sicilian cities of Palermo and Syracuse.
The scope of delivery includes the entire brake system, encompassing both the brake equipment for the bogies and other auxiliary devices for the coaches. The vehicles are scheduled to enter service in mid-2026.

SIEMENS – ÖBB PROJECT DANY
We have secured a contract for brake components for 171 passenger coaches produced by Siemens, intended for the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB). This contract represents the largest order in history for the supply of brake components for ÖBB passenger cars.
The project will be implemented between 2025 and 2028. The contract is an option building on previously executed orders, which covered a total of 303 coaches. The delivery will include three types of panels: control panels, standard intermediate panels, and low-floor intermediate panels.

STADLER – PROJECT FAL
An important contract for the supply of units to Italy is the Ferrovie Appulo Lucane (FAL) project for the delivery of DMUs and BMUs. Specifically, this involves five two-car sets, with a potential future option for an additional three cars (BMU), and five three-car sets with an option for three more three-car sets (DMU).

STADLER – ROSLAGSBANAN PROJECT
From May to September 2025, we will be supplying pneumatic brake controls for four X15P three-car units. These units will be operated in Sweden.

ŠKODA GROUP – PRAGUE
Production of the brake system for Prague’s FOR CITY PLUS 52T trams began in June 2024. For this project, we are supplying electromechanical brake systems, including control units and magnetic track brake DAKO. This project is significant as it marks the first implementation of an EM brake system in the Czech Republic.

PRAGOIMEX – OLOMOUC, MOST
We have secured a contract from Pragoimex to supply brake systems for nine low-floor EVO1/o trams for the Olomouc City Transport Company and six low-floor EVO2 trams for Most and Litvinov Cities Transport Company. These new double-ended four-axle trams for Olomouc and six-axle trams for Most will feature an electromechanical brake system, and the delivery will also include iRB 05.1 control units. The brake systems and components for this order will be supplied between 2024 and 2025.
ŠKODA GROUP – BERGAMO PROJECT
Another project secured in Italy involves the delivery of ten two-way, five-section, three-bogie trams. The deliveries will include a hydraulic brake system with magnetic track brake DAKO and are scheduled for 2025.

DAKO ITBL INTEGRATED TREAD BRAKE UNITS FOR BORSARI
In the first half of July, we secured a contract for the initial delivery of DAKO ITBL integrated tread brake units, which we supply to our Croatian customer Đuro Đaković. Serial production of these units began in November, with ongoing shipments to the customer for integration into the bogies of freight wagons.

SITAV – MODERNIZATION OF A SHUNTING LOCOMOTIVE WITH HYDROGEN TECHNOLOGY
At the end of last year, we began collaborating on an exciting project with our new Italian customer, Sitav. A strategic cooperation agreement was successfully concluded, under which we will supply the entire brake system.
The delivery includes a brake container, brake cylinders, antiskid devices, and other standard accessories (valves, hoses, etc.). Our shared ambitious goal is to present the locomotive at the Expo Ferroviaria trade fair in Milan this October.

SERVICE AND SPARE PARTS
We have also made significant progress in the area of service and spare parts. Notably, we secured a contract for servicing Czech Railways cars and reached an agreement for the repair of 15T trams, among many other achievements.
Key customers in 2024 included the aforementioned Czech Railways. Other notable contracts were signed with major clients such as Dopravni podnik Praha (primarily for 15T tram repairs), Skoda Pars, ZOS Trnava, DB, and ZSSK Cargo Slovakia, focusing mainly on repairs and spare parts deliveries. Additionally, we continued our collaboration with companies like Rudos Ruzomberok and DPOV.
